Feeling Blessed and Grateful...

I feel so blessed that I get to share Nurturing Moves! Every person I have the honor of sharing my passion of Nurturing Moves with is a teacher that comes into my life so perfectly timed by the Universe/God/Divine. My clients share how they feel during and after their sessions, how the work I am doing-this integrative approach that combines modern science with ancient wisdom is helping them to regain their power. Learning how to express ourselves through danceyogasound in combination with learning how to move, breathe, and posture with a firm scientific foundation allows ourselves to effectively "feel" whole so we may heal and become more fully present and alive. Thank you for all your feedback and wisdom, as it inspires me to continue on this path and in trusting my higher wisdom that has been telling me to INTEGRATE INTEGRATE INTEGRATE. What I realize is that I am helping individuals to feel at home in themselves, to regain their power with their Nurturing Moves, and they inspire me to be stronger, more focused, more determined, and dedicated to nurturing and loving myself and others. Thank you to all of you for being in my life, for giving me the opportunity to assist you in your self-discovery, self-loving practice, self-healing, and in living life to the fullest with your Nurturing Moves. Below are some of my great teachers I have had the pleasure of working with...and learning from.

Dr. Monica Costa-Moreno, Acupuncture Physician, Reiki Master, Life Coach on Coral Way and 14st...

Last week I had an unexpected fall on my right side. That night I woke up not able to move my right arm as I usually do, I woke up my husband feeling sad and confused because my arm was just not feeling and moving as it usually does. My husband assured me that I was going to be fine (he happens to be an emergency room doctor) however I was doubtful of his diagnosis, I felt unsettled as I had never experienced something in myself like this. I had a revelation that I am so used to feeling balanced and aware in my body, able to move my body rhythmically and gracefully, that this sort of awkward and uncoordinated arm felt very unusual to what I had known in the past before this moment as my "self". In a blink of an eye, I saw my future as motionless in one arm, how was I going to do dance and do snake arms? How was I going to massage people, how was I going to write my book without an arm? How was I going to hug?

I had this moment of WHAT IF? And then I began focusing on the solution: I sent a loving breath-wave of intention to my arm and right side of my body, I settled down and in by activating my Divine Diaphragm, and just Being fully in that moment, exactly how it was, I allowed the feelings of doubt to move within and then outwards as tears. I allowed myself to let go with cleansing breaths... I used my Nurturing Moves to help myself to feel whole again, regardless of what the outcome of my arm was going to be. I felt so much gratitude for having my limbs, for being able to move so beautifully and effortlessly through life. What a gift, and somehow I appreciated this more than ever because my arm was hurting, sore, and motionless. All this helped me to drift back to sleep. I woke up the next morning, and took my daughter to school, there was an acupuncturist next door who I was supposed to go to pick up flyers to pass out for the Friday Neighborhood fair at Waalay.
I feel so blessed because this amazing woman named Dr. Monica Costa-Moreno is an angel in my life who happened to have a cancellation, and gave me a complimentary session of acupuncture for my whole right side of my body-the areas that I had fallen on and felt "awkward". After one hour, my arm felt renewed and refreshed! Her clinic is a beautiful healing and peaceful sanctuary where individuals can come for life coaching, Doula Services, Infertility Treatments, Chronic Pain, Reiki, Acupuncture, and Massage. Her staff is glowing with love and joy! How blessed am I to have so many angels in my life: a husband that can help me to feel at ease, even though I doubted him a little as I could not move my arm and thought my bone was broken. He reassured me I was going to live. Dr. Monica came in at the right time to help me along my way and to bring me back to my energetic self. Acupunture is really an amazing catalyst for healing, coupled with My Own Nurturing Moves. I helped myself to center and feel calm so I may move from a place of calmness to take the next step. I wish the same for everyone on this planet, may we all re-discover our Divine Diaphragm, may we all be the drivers of our healing, may we all feel delicious and effortless movement in our bodies with our own Nurturing Moves. Enjoy these beautiful smiles of Dr. Monica and the Rosana Maumus, Massage Therapist. Visit Dr. Monica Costa-Moreno at 1450 Coral Way, Suite 4, Miami, Fl 33145 and 305-446-7250.

Our Deepest Fear... A MUST READ. THANK YOU MICHELLE RIU-Gritty Girl and Soul Sister...

Dear Friends Out There,
In my 36 years of living, I have had the pleasure of meeting some really amazing and highly gifted individuals, people that just shine like a radiant star and are not afraid of owning it, their innate power. One of those people are Michelle Riu, she is a pregnant goddess whom I recently met, and soon to be new mother who will be featured in my forthcoming book. I have been waiting to meet her and now that she has arrived, I feel ready to tackle the big task of putting together the book I have been waiting for 6 years to birth in the physical form... Michelle Riu is the creator and director of Gritty Girl, an empowering program for our youth-the next generation of mothers that are going to redefine what womanhood is all about and will bring peace and love to the world. I feel it is Divine Intervention how our paths have crossed... and today I share with you a quote from Marianne Williamson that she has sent me, that really sums it all up... ENJOY! Michelle Riu, Thank you for reminding me to never dim my inner light, to keep on BEING my beautiful Self! I love you soul sister! Michelle Maniaci

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marianne Williamson, author of RETURN TO LOVE.

THANK YOU GODDESS MICHELLE AND GODDESS MARIANNE !

Primal Health: Global Lessons From The Womb Conference October 16-18, 2009 Highlights from Portland, Maine...

This past week, I attended and presented at Birthworks International Conference on "Preventing Musculoskeletal Injuries During Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum." I also had the pleasure of attending the full conference, which is the first of it's kind, as it brought speakers from around the world and the most current research in Primal Health- a word coined by Dr. Michelle Odent, a obstetrician and midwife for 50 years. There was a cast of amazing Primal Health experts of which I attentively listened to and absorbed the information, as I feel Primal Health is of utmost concern to all of us, for now we know with scientific integrity what we have speculated, that what we eat, think, and feel when we are pregnant, and prior to conceiving influences our children on all levels of their well-being and their risk of developing chronic diseases later in life.

"Primal Health Research" explores correlations between the 'primal period' (fetal life, perinatal period and year following birth) and health and personality traits in later life. In the book "Primal Health" (first edition 1986)1 written by Dr. Michelle Odent, he predicted a new generation of research confirming that our health is shaped during the primal period. In order to prepare for a renewed understanding of health and diseases, a simplified vocabulary was proposed. Today the point is not to anticipate a phenomenon, but to observe its development and to draw preliminary conclusions. From 1993 onwards, Dr. Odent has begun publishing a quarterly newsletter that did just that. Since 1998 a computerised database has been made available. Access The Primal Health Database at : www.birthworks.org/site/primal-health-research/databank-keywords.html

I also had the honor of attending Pregnancy Belly dance with my very own teacher, Cathy Moore, an amazing midwife, and belly dance for birth teacher from Boston, Massachusetts. I purchased a book called "Birthing In The Spirit" at the conference, written by Cathy Daub, Founder and President of Birthworks International, licensed Physical Therapist, and Childbirth Education Teacher. I attended her workshop and I love her approach to Childbirth Education! Her book is amazing, I could not put it down on the plane ride home. I feel so excited to have a baby in the future after reading this book that to me really talks about what we REALLY need to know or be reminded of when we are pregnant or wanting to conceive. Her book is truly whole and complete. What an amazing group of people I have met, others are Dr. Bethany Hays-a Holistic Obstetrician that truly supports the vision of natural birth. A midwife from the Netherlands-Mary Zwart, who is so knowledgeable and with such a loving and tender heart. Dr. Susan Ludington who taught me that my breasts help regulate my baby's body temperature and that my skin secretes immunity for my baby. I am in awe of how amazingly perfect our bodies are, how wise, and how our culture as a whole truly needs to come back to honoring it's innate wisdom. We interfere WAY too much with nature. I am on a mission to share this experience and help us to educate ourselves with this knowledge as it has made Nurturing Moves even more effective, intelligent, and beneficial. Thank You to all the Primal Health Angels... I really wish our presidents could attend this conference, as I feel the future of our world is in the hands of those bringing in life to our next generation-the parents...

This conference has validated the mission of Nurturing Moves-that uniting modern science with love and holistic practices is truly a complete approach. It is time for us to truly embrace the current research in movement science with holistic principles, as we are so much more than just muscles and joints. Our mind/emotions/thoughts/beliefs are so powerful and influences our cervix and dilation much more than we give credit. I realized more than ever how important it is for us to be more in commune with our primal essence, to let go of thinking and just move and freely express ourSelves-dance and yoga is a beautiful way to do this in a dimly lit room... COME DANCEYOGASING with me with Nurturing Moves.

Dr. Odent and Midwife Heloisa Lessa are spearheading a Mid-Atlantic WORLD CONFERENCE on Birth and Primal Health on February 26-28, 2009 in the Grand Canary Islands that will bring leaders from all over the world in Perinatal and Primal Health. Join me for an unforgettable event that will change the way you practice midwifery, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatology, childbirth education, yoga, pre/postnatal wellness, fitness, therapy, parenting, and beyond.

ALSO I am wanting to bring Cathy Daub to teach us a Childbirth Educators Workshop... please contact me if you like to be one of the lucky 10 who get to learn from this amazing woman!
